The background

Youjia provides online marketing solution for car retailers.

Youjia is an online car information platform, which provides information for consumers and marketing solution for car retailors.

We need to provide our business customer data of their customers

We need to provide our business customers ( car retailors) data of customer contacts which obtained from our platform so they know our platform is effective.

Our business customers also need contacts data to know how their marketing compaign goes.

I explored different solutions

I explored possible solution while considering following question:

  • Does the solution has narrative?
  • Does the solution answers user's question?
  • Does the solution show meaningful message?
  • Can user easily find what he/she want?

Initial solution

The initial design was chart oriented. We wanted to give customer a professional feeling.



We found that customers dont do complicated analysis

We visited some customers after the service had been launched and we found out that they were not so into dataa analysis as we thought. They wanted data to be simple and straightfoward.

Business users are not necessarily to be expert

A new design adapted for customer behavior

I designed a new version which present key data metrics straightforward. But users can also browse more analysis in detail modal.
